Pergamos, The Spirit of compromise – How far do we go to compromise our doctrine and practice? Balaam is a fitting example of someone who was willing to compromise to gain notoriety and fame. It is a tactic of Satan to seduce God’s people with the thought, “just bend the rules a little, it can’t hurt.” A church can survive that is placed in a wicked place, “the seat of Satan”. The real danger is when we give Satan a seat in the church.
