In Jonah ch.3 Jonah is not just in the will of God but is going to do the will of God. Repentance is necessary for the child of God, we need it daily. But true repentance brings about a conversion, a change in walk. Without conversion our repentance in the eyes of others is vain and empty. It is only in true repentance and conversion that we can have a true revival. It is God that brings repentance and it is God that brings a revival. We need, more than ever, a revival in ourselves, in our families, in this nation and in His church. May we heed the word of the Lord and seek to follow him in our lives! May we seek to do his will and repent of the error of our ways in sackcloth and ashes! It is then that God will have mercy upon us and hear our prayers.
