Christ must needs go through Samaria. There was a woman that Christ waited for at the well of Jacob; a woman hated of the Jews, a Samaritan. He met her there to bring her to the reality of the truth that she might be converted. Conversion doesn’t make a child of God but it does give great evidence of one who is a child of God. Regeneration always precedes conversion. For one to have the desire to convert is evidence that they are already born of the Spirit.
