Christ Our Surety

The book of Philemon captures the surety of the Apostle Paul towards Onesimus. What a wonderful illustration of Christ who is our surety! Christ was surety for us at Calvary, he paid the price fully. We were unprofitable in our dead state but it was Christ who redeemed us back to God. We were a bond servant to sin and though we were departed for a season through the fall in Adam it is Christ who has come and the paid the debt of sin. Jesus paid it all, all the debt I owe!
