Amos is a book that warns Gods people of the day of the Lord. There can be darkness in the clear day. Darkness often speaks of the judgment of God against the sins of his people. There was a literal darkness at Calvary, a darkness that we can experience in our disobedience, a darkness in our ignorance, and a darkness that can come upon us through trials. The book of Amos was during a time that is very similar to the times we are in now. May we lift up the Lord in our lives and praise his holy name!
