Many words describe God. Deuteronomy 7:9 declares him to be the faithful God. God is trustworthy, we can rely on him. His word never fails and his promises are sure. In times where unfaithfulness seems to abound around us we can take comfort in a God who is faithful. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
